Adventure tours have been designed for anyone who would like to visit those parts of the cave that are not open for regular tours, experience more demanding passages, cross over water obstacles and relive the exploration of caves. Adventure tours are done in small groups, guided by experienced guides and divided in three difficulty levels.

Otok Cave is a dry, horizontal cave with many speleothems. One of the entrances into the Postojna Cave System used to be located here in the past and was later filled up. The people of Veliki Otok village (en route between Postojna and Predjama) uncovered it again in 1889. Otok Cave is linked to other caves through the passages of the subterranean Pivka River.

Instructions for visitors

Notification ahead of time (a minimum of 3 working days before the planned tour) is required for an adventure tour. An advance payment of 30 % is necessary. Tour participants are required to submit a written consent of participation in the caving tour. The tour takes 1 hour along an easy way.
