Otok Cave

Owing to its unique beauty, Otok Cave has in the past often been the location of film productions by both Slovene and foreign filmmakers.

Otok Cave

Otok Cave is a dry, horizontal cave with many speleothems. One of the entrances into the Postojna Cave System used to be located here in the past and was later filled up. The people of Veliki Otok village (en route between Postojna and Predjama) uncovered it again in 1889. Otok Cave is linked to other caves through the passages of the subterranean Pivka River.
